Chinese ships stuck in the Strait of Hormuz: Beijing called on the parties

About 100 ships registered in Hong Kong have been blocked in the Strait of Hormuz. It is said that there are approximately 2,300 sailors on board these ships.

The information was reported by the "South China Morning Post" publication, citing Richard Hextin, head of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association.

The association chairman stated that trying to remove the ship blocked in the Strait of Hormuz is accompanied by high risks because there is a danger of the ship being fired upon at any moment.

According to him, the main goals for the industry at this moment are to continue the supply of food and drinking water to the crew members, as well as to provide them with psychological support.

China calls for the urgent restoration of the free and safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.\oxu.az
