In the 52nd minute of the match, with the score 3-0 in favor of Canada, Qatari defender Assim Modibo played rough against Kone. After the foul, the injured player had to leave the field on a stretcher.
According to the information, the Canadian player is currently in the hospital and is preparing for surgery.
Preliminary estimates suggest that the Canadian player will be away from the green fields for 4-5 months.
After the match ended, Modibo went to the Canadian national team’s dressing room and apologized to the injured player.
