Epstein trail: They wanted to abolish the monarchy in Norway

The Norwegian parliament has held a vote on whether to maintain or abolish the monarchy.

"Yeni Sabah" reports that out of 169 members of parliament, 141 voted in favor, while 26 voted against.

The vote took place against the backdrop of several scandals related to the royal family and the decline of its popularity.

Today, the trial of Crown Princess Mette-Marit's 29-year-old son, Marius Borg Høiby, has begun. He is charged with 38 crimes, including four assaults, and could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.

At the same time, in the US, after the publication of another set of documents accusing her in sexual crimes related to the "Jeffrey Epstein case," her mother has become the center of scandal. It has emerged that Mette-Marit had closer ties with Epstein than previously known.

Since 2011, there has been a friendly and sincere exchange of messages between Epstein and Crown Princess Mette-Marit. When Mette-Marit realized Epstein was trying to "use" his relationships with the royal family, she claimed to have cut ties with him in 2013. However, the documents show that their correspondence continued until the summer of 2014.
