“Fenerbahçe” football player Fred gave a statement after the 0:1 loss to “Konyaspor” in the quarterfinals of the Ziraat Turkey Cup.
Medianews.az reports that the Brazilian midfielder said the team’s situation is difficult and despite consecutive unsuccessful results, they need to recover.
According to him, although the game supremacy was on their side during both the point losses in the championship and the elimination from the cup, the main problem was the inability to convert scoring opportunities.
Fred also emphasized that the team has not yet withdrawn from the championship race and aims to win the upcoming match.
These statements caused dissatisfaction among “Fenerbahçe” fans. Fans exhibited a critical attitude towards the football players, especially Fred, on social media.
