The spring session of the Georgian Parliament has ended.
The last plenary meeting of the session was dedicated to the presentation of the government's annual activity report. At the meeting, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze reported to the deputies on the work carried out by the government during the past period.
At the end of the plenary meeting, tensions arose in the parliament. A dispute between the deputies of the ruling party "Georgian Dream" and the members of the "Gakharia for Georgia" faction escalated into a physical confrontation. A fistfight broke out among the deputies.
After the confrontation, the spring session of parliament was officially closed with the playing of the national anthem. According to available information, the autumn session of parliament will begin on September 1. Currently, there are no plans to convene an extraordinary meeting of the parliament./Report
