The person placed on the international wanted list by Interpol's National Central Bureau in Azerbaijan, whose location was determined in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has been extradited to Azerbaijan.
Information about this was provided to Medianews.az by the Ministry of Justice.
It was reported that since 2022, a group of citizens was accused of causing significant material damage to the victims by deceiving them under the pretense of assigning disability pensions or arranging employment, abusing the trust of the citizens, and obtaining money from them for the stated purpose (Articles 178.2.1 and 178.2.4 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan). The Azerbaijani citizen Polad Murad oglu Babayev’s location was determined in the UAE, and he was arrested.
After presenting the required documents in accordance with international procedures and after conducted negotiations, agreement was reached on the extradition of this person to Azerbaijan.
