New allegations have emerged regarding the construction of the complex located in Russia's Krasnodar region, known among the public as the "Putin Palace."
Medianews.az reports that the "Putin Palace" is situated on the Black Sea coast, in the area of Gelendzhik, a resort city.
According to an investigation conducted by a group consisting of supporters of opposition politician Aleksey Navalny, who died in 2024 in Russia while in custody due to poisoning, the results of which were made public in February 2026, it is alleged that the budget for the construction of the "Putin Palace" was mainly formed through loans.
The investigation emphasizes that after the construction was completed in 2023, 6.5 billion rubles remained in the budget. This amount was then donated to the funds of gymnast Alina Kabaeva. 3 billion rubles were transferred to the account of one fund, and 3.5 billion rubles to the account of another.
The authors of the investigation also claim that the majority of the funds transferred to Alina Kabaeva's funds were placed in deposit accounts. That is, a large amount of interest income is generated from these funds.
According to the allegations, Alina Kabaeva is in close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin and is the mother of Putin's younger children.
