US President Donald Trump stated that the Iranian authorities will provide the US with 20 oil tankers.
Medianews.az citing Musavat.com reports that he answered journalists' questions about this on his plane while returning from his mansion in Florida to Washington: "Today they gave us another gift. They gave us 20 oil ships, and their transportation will begin tomorrow."
Trump also explained that he meant the tankers which Iran allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
In an interview with the Financial Times, he stated that Washington wants to take control over Iran's oil industry: "To be honest, I would most like to import oil from Iran, but some stupid people in the US say, 'Why do you do this?' But they are stupid people."
At the cabinet meeting held on March 26, the American leader also noted that he believes the US's control over Iranian oil is one of the possible actions: "This is one of the choices."
