The Iranian authorities have carried out the death sentence of two members of the "People's Mujahedin Organization of Iran" ("Mujahedin-e Khalq") group, which is considered guilty of terrorism.

It is reported that after the Iranian Supreme Court confirmed the death sentence, two people were hanged in Tehran.
The agency notes that the militants, under instructions from abroad, carried out a number of armed attacks and explosions in the Iranian capital. They were also responsible for the financial support, the renting of safe houses used as workshops for assembling small-scale rocket devices and improvised bombs, and as shelters for other members of the group. According to the information, they received funds in cryptocurrency through tranches from coordinators abroad.
The organization members were caught in the act while attempting the next attack using four pre-prepared devices. The Iranian court found them guilty of armed rebellion, collusion against national security, and terrorism aimed at overthrowing the state system of the Islamic Republic. The revealed evidence, as well as materials from surveillance cameras and the defendants’ own statements, which were means to disguise themselves, formed the basis for the death penalty.
It should be recalled that members of the "People's Mujahedin Organization of Iran" had previously been executed.
