After the recent personnel reforms carried out at TƏBİB, directors of several large medical institutions in Baku have been dismissed from their positions.
However, new appointments have not yet been made to replace them.
So how are these hospitals managed during this period?
Medianews.az reports that Medicina.az conducted an investigation on this matter.
It has been revealed that one of the country's largest medical institutions, the Clinical Medical Center, is currently managed by the chief physician.
The leadership of the center has been entrusted to chief physician Hüseyn Məsimov, who is a specialist in traumatology. In other words, although the director position is vacant, management continues temporarily at the chief physician level to prevent any administrative gap.
It should be noted that a similar situation is observed in other medical institutions left without directors – management is usually carried out by chief physicians or deputies of the leading officials.
So when will new director appointments be made?
Although no official statement has been given on this matter, sources close to TƏBİB indicate that new appointments are expected to be carried out gradually after May 15.
Currently, the system is undergoing a transition period and the leadership structure is being reorganized.
