Those who do this without permission 4 thousand manats will pay

Under the pretext of road traffic safety, the installation of speed-reducing obstacles ("speed bumps") by citizens or various organizations in streets, and even in the courtyards of residential buildings, is considered a serious legal violation.

Medianews.az reports that experts and official bodies warn that such actions are not only illegal but also entail administrative liability.

Transport expert Eldəniz Cəfərov stated in an interview with Baku TV that the installation of speed-reducing obstacles on public roads and intra-neighborhood streets can only be carried out with the consent and participation of the relevant state authorities. The expert noted that although the situation in the courtyards of multi-storey buildings is somewhat different, certain procedures must still be observed there as well:

"The Housing Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan allows residents to install speed bumps, barriers, and other restrictive devices in their courtyards for safety purposes. However, this is possible only provided that the regulations are followed."
