New details have emerged in the investigation of the armed attack in the city of Kahramanmaraş that resulted in the death of 9 people in a secondary school.
According to Medianews.az, during the investigation it was determined that İsa Aras Mersinli, who carried out the attack, underwent shooting training at a police shooting range together with his father several days before the incident.
After the dissemination of these images, the police officer M.Y., who was serving at the shooting range, was suspended from duty and an investigation has been launched against him.
It has been confirmed that the weapons used in the attack at the school belonged to the attacker’s father. The father, a former police officer, stated in his testimony that he had previously taken his son to the shooting range for training. He was arrested within the scope of the investigation.
The footage that has emerged shows the attacker shooting at the target, while his father was guiding him.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the responsible persons related to the incident.
