Healthy eating in schools: which products are prohibited?

Based on established requirements, the use of a number of products that may pose health risks during children's nutrition is prohibited in educational institutions.

Among the prohibited products are meat, poultry, and fish products that have not undergone thermal processing, by-products and foods prepared from them, meat of wild animals and migratory birds, eggs with dirty shells and damaged, as well as homemade foods.

This was announced by the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency.

According to an investigation by Medianews.az, parents also consider it important that school meals contain fresher, natural, and safer foods.

Experts state that the application of these requirements not only ensures healthy nutrition for schoolchildren but also plays an important role in preventing food poisoning. Since children's immune systems are not yet fully developed, food safety rules must be strictly followed. Monitoring the quality of food in educational institutions is essential for both health and the safety of the educational environment.
