The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) holds significant importance for the South Caucasus.
These views were reflected in NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's report on the results of 2025.
It was stated that in 2025, NATO welcomed the significant progress achieved in peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the continued contribution of the United States to the peace process:
"The initialing of the peace agreement in August was an important step towards normalization and regional security. NATO is ready to deepen dialogue and cooperation with both countries." /Trend.Az
