The oncologist has explained the symptoms that may indicate cancer at an early stage.
Medianews.az reports that oncologist and chemotherapist Yevgeni Chichikov stated that doctors may prescribe additional examinations considering the possibility of cancer based on the patient’s minor complaints.
According to him, the general symptoms of cancer include unexplained fatigue, weakness, a temperature around 37 degrees, and weight loss. However, these symptoms can also be observed in other diseases.
More specific symptoms include moles that change shape and color in a short time, blood in urine or stool, thickening and shape changes in the mammary gland, as well as a prolonged cough.
The doctor emphasized that it is necessary to consult a specialist when such symptoms appear. For early diagnosis, screening examinations appropriate to age and risk group are considered the most effective method.
