Them too switches to the euro

"The Hungarian government aims to meet the necessary conditions for the country's accession to the Eurozone by 2030."

According to Medianews.az, this was stated by the country's Prime Minister Peter Madyar at a joint press conference held in Budapest with the President of the Eurogroup and Greece's Finance Minister Kiriakos Pierrakakis, as well as Hungary's Finance Minister András Karman.

He noted that meeting the "Maastricht criteria" will strengthen the country's economic stability and contribute to its long-term development.

According to Madyar, the government's goal is to meet all the requirements for membership in the Eurozone by 2030.

The Prime Minister added that the transition to the euro will enhance economic stability, strengthen investor confidence, and make the country more predictable for business. He also said that this would help prevent the repetition of mistakes made in the economic policy of Viktor Orban's government.

Peter Madyar admitted that Hungary does not yet meet all the conditions for adopting the euro. According to him, the most serious problems are the reduction of the state budget deficit and public debt.

It should be noted that it is essential for EU member countries to meet the requirements related to price stability, sustainable public finances, exchange rate stability, and long-term interest rates in accordance with the "Maastricht criteria" for the transition to the euro. //Qafqazinfo
