The taxable monthly income of the family members of deminers who died during mine clearance will be reduced by 400 manats.

Medianews.az reports that this is reflected in the draft law on amendments to the Tax Code, discussed at today's plenary session of the National Assembly.

It was stated that the amendment envisages reducing the taxable monthly income of the family members of deminers who died while performing their official duties during mine clearance activities by 400 manats.

Also, the tuition fees of the children of the family members of deminers who died during mine clearance will be paid from the state budget funds.

It was stated that the amendment envisages the payment from the state budget of tuition fees for the children of deminers who died while performing mine clearance activities, for the period during which they receive paid education (excluding additional education) in educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, regardless of the form of ownership.

According to the transitional provisions of this draft law, the amendments that are planned to be implemented from September 15, 2026, will also apply to the children (up to 23 years old at most) of deminers who died or who lost their lives due to injuries sustained while performing mine clearance activities before the date this law comes into force.

The draft law was put to a vote after discussions and was adopted at the second reading.
