Medianews.az reports that he spoke about this during his trip to Africa to journalists.
The Pope said that he is not afraid of the Trump administration, that he is not a politician, and that he speaks from the principles of the Bible. He emphasized the importance of stopping wars, dialogue, and strengthening international cooperation.
The Pope also noted that many innocent people have died in wars and delivered the message, "there is a better way."
In recent days, tensions have risen in Vatican-U.S. relations. Trump criticized Pope Leo XIV on social media, claiming he holds a weak position on foreign policy and security issues.
In response, the Vatican rejected the tension claims related to the Pope, but mutual statements are considered to reflect increasing political tensions in the relations.
