On March 4, the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, hosted an iftar table at his residence on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Medianews.az reports that Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, as well as the leaders of religious denominations operating in Azerbaijan, attended the event.
The iftar ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the "Quran Karim" and the Ramadan prayer.
The chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, spoke about the significance of the month of Ramadan, noting the state-religion relations and the environment of religious tolerance in Azerbaijan. He stated that Azerbaijan is a country that defends Islamic values, interests, and benefits in the world, makes important contributions to Islamic solidarity, and adopts a firm stance against Islamophobia.
Then, the leaders of religious denominations operating in Azerbaijan and other guests gave speeches. In the speeches, Azerbaijan's steps taken at the international level to promote interfaith and intercultural dialogue were highly appreciated, emphasizing that the country has formed an exemplary model in this field.
Afterwards, the iftar table was opened.
