Galatasaray, which has earned 53.5 million euros in revenue since the beginning of the UEFA Champions League season, missed the opportunity for additional earnings by losing to Liverpool.
According to Medianews.az, the yellow-reds, who could not achieve the desired result in the decisive match against the English representative, have bid farewell to European tournaments.
The defeat has caused the club significant loss both in sports and financial terms.
Galatasaray, which secured 53.5 million euros in earnings through performance, broadcasting revenues, and other bonuses during the season, could have earned an additional 12.5 million euros in reward if they advanced to the next stage. However, the defeat eliminated this possibility.
Thus, the club lost the chance to raise its total revenue to approximately 66 million euros and left the European stage with a financial loss.
