The election of a new chairman at the Azerbaijan Filmmakers' Union (AFU) will take place after the 40th-day memorial ceremony of People's Artist Rasim Balayev.
Medianews.az reports that this information was provided by the AFU.
It was noted that until then, no steps will be taken regarding organizational matters: "According to the charter, operational issues at the AFU are handled by the secretariat. After the 40th-day memorial ceremony, organizational steps will be taken, and according to the charter, the chairman will be elected at the general congress."
