Kura River in Sabirabad went out of its course

In the Suqovuşan area of the Sabirabad district, the sharp rise in the level of the Kura River has caused the water to overflow its banks.

Medianews.az reports, referring to "Report", that the intense rains in recent days have caused a significant increase in the water level of the Kura River.

As a result, near the area where the Kura and Aras rivers merge, the river has overflowed its bed and begun to spread towards the Tugay forests located along the shore.

It is reported that there are restaurants located near the area where the incident occurred. The flow of water in that direction is currently being observed.

The Sabirabad district emergency commission stated that the current situation is under control. According to the organization's statement, despite the river overflowing its bed, no serious danger is currently anticipated. The water level remains approximately two meters below the protective dam.

Monitoring continues in the area by the relevant authorities, and necessary preventive measures are being taken to maintain stability. It is reported that additional equipment and manpower will be involved if needed.
