After the injury sustained by Galatasaray player Noa Lang in the match against Liverpool, UEFA has initiated an investigation.
Medianews.az reports that during the incident, Lang severely injured his hand by squeezing it between advertising panels.
Following this unusual incident, UEFA decided to check the technical conditions at the stadium.
Within the scope of the investigation, the distance of the advertising panels from the field, the gaps between the panels, and their compliance with safety standards are being analyzed. Additionally, technical reports prepared before the match are also being reviewed.
After the final report, it will be determined whether any sanctions will be applied to the stadium management or responsible authorities.
