In modern times, social networks have become an integral part of not only adults' but also children and adolescents' lives. Children spend their leisure time through social networks, communicate with their friends, and obtain various information. However, along with all this, social networks also pose various dangers for children.
So, how should we protect children from the dangerous sides of social networks?
It should be noted that age restrictions are applied for users on many social networks.
Medianews.az reports that according to cybersecurity expert Əmrah Mövsümzadə's statement to Azad Azerbaijan Television (ATV), children sometimes share their personal information and even send their pictures to people they meet through games and various platforms on social networks.
"This information can later be used as a means of blackmail and threats," the expert emphasized.
Sociologist Üzeyir Şəfiyev noted that aggressive content games are widespread on internet resources and they negatively affect the behavior of children.
"When investigating the causes of criminal incidents among adolescents, it turns out that some of them are under the influence of aggressive and harmful content," said the sociologist.
