Robotic platforms have been implemented in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, to enhance public safety.
Medianews.az reports that robot dogs will be used in public spaces of this city to conduct patrol services, monitor the situation, and prevent crimes.
The systems are equipped with video surveillance systems and can transmit data in real time to the Operations Management Center. The robots can also detect suspicious objects, smoke, and signs of fire and automatically send signals to emergency services.
In the future, potential applications for the robots include operations against terrorism, remote inspection of dangerous objects, and activities involving the relocation of such objects to other places without risk to the lives of personnel.
