It is claimed that one of the world's most popular messaging applications, "WhatsApp," is working on a new paid subscription system.
According to Medianews.az, a package called "WhatsApp Plus" will cost approximately 2.49 euros per month and is currently being tested with a limited number of users.
The main messaging and calling functions will remain free, while the paid package will offer additional features.
Within the new system, features such as increasing the number of pinned chats, changing the app icon, personal themes, and access to additional sticker packs are planned. It will also be possible to set different notification sounds for each chat and create individual lists.
It is reported that the system is initially being tested and will later be rolled out worldwide in stages.
