During WUF13, no restrictions on the roads, establishment of checkpoints, or prevention of drivers coming from districts or regions from entering the capital are planned.
This was stated by Namidan Piriyev, head of the Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at a briefing on the presentation of the transportation management plan during WUF13.
He noted that such a situation may occur only on November 18, the opening day:
“In a very short period, from the southern part of the capital, that is from the area known as 'Lokbatan roundabout,' the direction of vehicles coming to the capital might be changed and directed towards the outer ring road. That is, no restrictions are planned for vehicles coming from other places. This itself is not considered a restriction, nor the establishment of any checkpoints or preventing vehicles from entering. Vehicles will be allowed into the city not from that direction but from other directions. It is possible that, if necessary on the day of the event, vehicles on that direction may be redirected to the outer ring road.” /“APA-Economics”
