According to experts, to have a lively and healthy brain, you should regularly practice certain habits in the mornings.
Medianews.az reports, referring to Axşam.az, that regardless of your age, your daily habits significantly affect your brain's function. Whether in youth or old age, it is necessary to take action for a healthy and strong brain.
There are 5 simple and main factors to consider for a strong mind:
■ Drink a glass of water: Water is essential for your body and brain to function optimally. Drinking a glass of water early in the morning helps meet your fluid needs and supports brain health. Drinking enough water helps prevent fatigue and can increase your short-term memory, attention, and reaction speed throughout the day.
■ Expose your face to sunlight: Exposure to light and darkness during the day greatly affects the body's circadian rhythm (internal clock). Going outside or sitting in front of a sunny window 30 minutes after waking helps you stay more alert during the day and sleep better at night. Many studies show that exposure to morning sunlight improves mood.
■ Reduce your screen time: Spending much of the day looking at phone and computer screens negatively affects mental health. Therefore, reduce your screen time. Start the day by talking face-to-face with people, calling them, or going out for a walk with a friend. This also reduces loneliness, which causes cognitive decline.
■ Get moving: Exercise has deep effects on the brain. Starting the day with simple physical activity improves cognitive function throughout the day. Research shows that physical activity preserves cognitive health both during the day and later in life.
■ Eat breakfast: A nutrient-rich breakfast balances blood sugar and provides energy throughout the day. This means limiting sugary products, pastries, and drinks that can negatively affect your brain health.
