Record-high pension payments have been recorded in Poland, amounting to thousands of euros per month.
Medianews.az reports that according to information published by the "Business Insider" publication, an 81-year-old resident of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship currently receives a pension of approximately 9,800 euros (42,075 zlotys) per month.
The mentioned woman has dedicated more than six decades to her work, with almost no breaks in her employment history.
It is noted that during her 61-year career, she had only two months without insurance payments and decided to retire only at the age of 81. Similar high payments do not end in the region. For instance, another woman in the city of Toruń, who has worked for over 55 years and retired at the age of 80, receives about 8,100 euros (34,847 zlotys) per month.
However, according to the "Mediafax" publication, the absolute record across the country belongs to a man from the Silesian Voivodeship. He worked for approximately 63 years and retired only at the age of 86. Currently, his monthly pension exceeds 10,000 euros (43,000 zlotys). Experts associate the secret of such high amounts with the length of the employment period. According to the information, each additional official working year after the retirement age increases the final pension amount by about 15%.
Nevertheless, the disparity among pensions in the country is sharp. For comparison, it is stated that in the same region the lowest pension is only 1.4 cents per month. For this reason, Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) recommends that citizens consult experts before retiring.
At the same time, it is reported that many elderly people in Poland, due to high expenses, move to smaller apartments or prefer rental housing. The high cost of utilities and taxes pushes pensioners to sell their properties or move closer to medical services in order to reduce their financial burden.//Musavat.com
