Against the backdrop of the conflict with Iran, the increase in oil prices has raised the cost of living in the USA.
According to Medianews.az, footage circulating on social networks showing a woman unable to hold back her tears while protesting against fuel and rent prices has become a trending topic.
In her statement, the woman emphasized the sharp rise in gasoline prices, expressing her dissatisfaction with the words, "Why am I paying this? Rent is already very expensive. I'm just trying to go back and forth to work."
According to experts, tensions related to Iran have seriously affected the global energy market, rapidly driving up oil prices. Gasoline prices in the USA have surpassed $4, and the price of a barrel of oil has risen above $100, reaching the highest level in recent years.
The increase in energy prices also impacts rent and other essential expenses, thereby increasing the financial burden on citizens. Economists warn that if the conflict prolongs, inflation may rise further and there could be a risk of global economic slowdown.
The woman's words, "This is just the beginning," have sparked widespread discussions on social media and have shown that the economic effects of the war directly impact people’s daily lives.
