Although studies on the health effects of non-alcoholic beer reveal some positive aspects, experts recommend approaching the presentation of this drink as a "beneficial product" with caution.
Medianews.az, citing BAKU.WS, reports that according to research, non-alcoholic beer is produced through fermentation like regular beer, but the alcohol is removed in the final stage. For this reason, certain beneficial substances remain in the beverage.
Experts state that the main advantage of this drink is the absence of alcohol. Especially for individuals who consume alcoholic beverages, switching to a non-alcoholic alternative can help reduce overall alcohol consumption. A study by scientists from Tsukuba University also showed a certain decreasing trend in this regard.
It is noted that polyphenols with antioxidant properties are partially preserved in non-alcoholic beer. Although some studies suggest that these substances might have a positive effect on vascular health, the results are still limited.
At the same time, the drink may contain probiotics and B group vitamins in certain cases. However, due to filtration and pasteurization during the production process, the majority of beneficial microorganisms are destroyed.
While studies indicate that non-alcoholic beer can partially restore fluid balance after physical exertion, it has not been proven to be more effective than water or specialized sports drinks.
Experts emphasize that non-alcoholic beer can be an alternative to reduce alcohol intake. However, it is not recommended to specifically include this drink in the diet to gain additional health benefits.
