The re-arrest of the owner of “Atlant” was requested – CRIMINAL FILE
At the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, in the ongoing "Təbriz" MTK case, which concerns the fate of hundreds of citizens, the position of the victims has become even more rigid in the latest court hearings. They insist that the criminal case be removed from court review and returned to the preliminary investigation for further inquiry. Musavat.com reports that the victims say several important aspects of the case have not been fully investigated, questions about the direction of millions of funds received from them have not been answered, and the real participants in the events have remained outside the investigation's attention.
Medianews.az reports that one of the main demands raised in the court process motions is the involvement of Tahir Qədəşov, the owner of the “Atlant” recreation center, in the investigation. The victims believe that Tahir Qədəşov, whose name appears repeatedly in the case materials and about whom various statements have been given during court hearings, should have his activities separately investigated. In fact, this demand is not being voiced for the first time. In previous stages of the court proceedings, victims and their representatives have repeatedly requested that Tahir Qədəşov’s legal status be determined within the framework of the criminal case. According to their claims, the direction of part of the millions of manats collected from the citizens has not been fully investigated. Therefore, limiting the case only to Nofəl Hacıyev and other accused persons is stated to hinder uncovering the truth. The victims believe that without additional investigation and examining all connections, it is impossible to come to an objective conclusion regarding the case.
One of the notable points during the process is that the victims no longer only demand compensation for the damage caused but also the identification of all responsible persons in the case. In their opinion, before the criminal case is sent to the court stage, a wider investigation should be conducted, the movement route of the funds must be fully clarified, and the roles of all participants in this process should be legally evaluated. The attitude towards the motions raised in the court process and other discussions will continue in subsequent hearings. The next court hearing in the case is scheduled for May 21. At that session, both the victims' motions and the defense side's position are expected to be discussed again.
According to the investigation materials, Nofəl Hacıyev is accused of obtaining a total of more than 14 million manats from 171 citizens from 2018 to 2022 through the "Təbriz" MTK, which he led, by selling the same apartments to several people and through other schemes. Along with him, the company's executive director, Talish Məmmədov, has also been brought to trial as an accused person. (Musavat.com)
