According to the report of the State Statistics Committee, in the retail trade network of Azerbaijan during January-May 2026, food products, beverages, and tobacco products worth 14 billion 151.8 million manats and non-food goods worth 11 billion 358.9 million manats were sold.
Medianews.az reports that 50.9 percent of the funds spent in the trade network went to food products, 4.6 percent to beverages and tobacco products, 12.8 percent to textile products, clothing, and footwear, 6.4 percent to automobile fuel, 4.4 percent to electrical goods and furniture, 2.9 percent to pharmaceutical products and medical supplies, 1.5 percent to computers, telecommunications equipment, and printed products, and 16.5 percent to other non-food goods.
During the reporting period, on average, one person purchased food products, beverages, and tobacco products worth 275.7 manats and non-food goods worth 221.2 manats per month.
