The State Statistics Committee has shown the average monthly nominal salary of paid workers in Azerbaijan as 1172.1 manat as of May 1, 2026.
Medianews.az reports that the average salary by activity types has been officially recorded as follows:
mining industry – 4327.8 manat;
financial and insurance activities – 3261.5 manat;
information and communication – 2158.8 manat;
professional, scientific and technical activities – 1989.9 manat;
public administration and defense; social security – 1707.2 manat;
transportation and storage – 1559.2 manat;
real estate operations – 1352.8 manat;
construction – 1249.8 manat;
electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply – 1146 manat;
manufacturing industry – 1049.5 manat;
healthcare and social services to the population – 952.7 manat;
activities in recreation, entertainment and arts – 891.1 manat;
education – 823.7 manat;
accommodation of tourists and public catering – 805.8 manat;
administrative and support service activities – 804.7 manat;
water supply, waste management and remediation activities – 788.8 manat;
trade; repair of motor vehicles – 764.7 manat;
agriculture, forestry and fishing – 744.1 manat.
The minimum salary in the country is 400 manat.
