The temperature in Cuba has dropped to 0°C for the first time in history.
Milli.Az reports that the country's National Meteorology Institute has issued this information.
Specifically, the record was registered in the western part of the country.
"At 4:00 AM, the meteorological station in Indio Hatuey recorded a minimum temperature of 0.1°C. The temperature continued to fall, and at 7:00 AM the thermometer registered 0°C," the report states.
It is noted that at other stations in the west and center of the country, temperatures were between 1.4°C and 5°C.
It should be noted that in December, snow has fallen for the first time in decades in some regions of Saudi Arabia. The last time this happened was approximately 30 years ago. Before the snowfall, meteorologists warned of a sharp temperature drop. Additionally, red and orange weather warnings have been issued for hail and severe storms in some areas of the country.
