Experts state that due to the increased allergic problems in the summer season, special attention should be paid to bed hygiene.
According to Medianews.az, sleep specialist Andrew Sidin says that washing bed covers at 40 degrees is not sufficient for the complete cleaning of bacteria, dust mites, and pollens.
He noted that bedding sets should be washed at least at 60 degrees. This temperature helps to effectively destroy microbes and allergens. The specialist recommends washing covers every two weeks, and for people with allergies, this period should be shorter.
It is also emphasized that quilts should be cleaned regularly, but it should first be checked whether they are suitable to be washed in a machine.
Experts state that bed hygiene is one of the main factors for quality sleep.
