Within the framework of the Thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Baku on May 17–22, 2026, the next monitoring of vehicle traffic will be carried out jointly by the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company and relevant authorities to ensure safe and efficient management of traffic flow.

It was reported that within the scope of the monitoring, temporary adjustments to traffic movement will be applied on a number of streets and avenues in Baku city on May 1 from 10:00 to 16:00.
"The monitoring will cover Neftçilər Avenue, Yusif Safarov Street, partially Heydar Aliyev Avenue (up to Sabunchu Bridge), Mehdi Huseyn Street, Khojaly Avenue, Richard Sorge Street, Zarifa Aliyeva Street, Lermontov Street as well as the direction of the event venue, Baku Olympic Stadium.
Drivers and other road users are kindly asked to plan their journeys in advance on the specified date, consider the possible congestion along the mentioned routes, and use alternative roads.
The H1 express bus route operating between Heydar Aliyev International Airport and the city center will continue its operation normally and uninterruptedly. At the same time, during this period, private vehicles and taxis will be able to freely enter and exit the airport area via alternative routes. It is recommended to plan trips in advance to avoid delays.
The monitoring of vehicle movement conducted before WUF13 has also been applied and successfully implemented within the framework of preparation for several global events held in Azerbaijan over the past decade," the statement said.
