From TƏBİB regarding the claims of the lawyer whose daughter died in an accident EXPLANATION

The daughter of the well-known lawyer Farhad Mehdiyev, Zahra Mehdizade, tragically died in a severe accident that occurred on June 16 on the Baku-Sumgait road.

F. Mehdiyev stated that although his child sustained serious injuries, she initially survived the accident and was taken to the Absheron District Central Hospital. However, the Computed Tomography device at the medical facility was not working. Therefore, his daughter did not receive the necessary medical assistance.

Medianews.az reports that in response to an inquiry from Olke.az regarding the matter, TƏBİB indicated that a person born in 2008 (female) was brought to the Emergency Department of Absheron District Central Hospital around 5:00 PM on June 16.

“From the moment the patient was admitted, urgent medical aid was provided considering the severity of her condition.

The patient was diagnosed with unspecified trauma of the abdomen, lumbar and pelvic regions, other intracranial injuries, unspecified trauma of the cervical region, unspecified pneumothorax, fracture of other parts of the forearm bones, fracture of other parts of the femur, and an open wound in the thigh region. Necessary examinations and treatment measures were carried out.

Despite intensive treatment and resuscitation efforts by the doctors, it was not possible to restore the patient's vital functions, and the fact of biological death was recorded on 16.06.2026 at approximately 8:20 PM.

It should be noted that the patient's condition upon admission to the hospital was extremely severe with unstable vital signs, making it medically impossible to perform CT (computed tomography) examination on her.

Additionally, we state that TƏBİB is undertaking necessary measures for the implementation of modern medical technologies aimed at further improvement of radiological medical services.

The main priority is not merely equipping all medical institutions with radiological equipment, but creating conditions for the provision of unified radiological medical services to ensure patients' accessibility to medical care,” TƏBİB stated.
