Are there Azerbaijani football players among the national teams participating in the 23rd World Football Championship?
Medianews.az conducted a research with the help of the well-known sports commentator Rasim Mövsümzadə to find the answer to this question.
It turned out that the Iranian national team, which is in DC-2026, includes two Azerbaijani Turks: defender Milad Mohammadi and forward Shahriyar Muganli.

Goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand, defender Shoja Khalilzadeh, midfielder Mehdi Torabi, and forward Amirhossein Hosseinzadeh are players of the famous "Tractor" team from Tabriz, the symbolic city of South Azerbaijan.
So, in DC-2026 there are both Azerbaijani players and players from the Tabriz team.
The Iranian national team is in Group G in this championship, competing against Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand.
The team's players will take the field in DC-2026 for the first time on June 16 at 05:00 our time, playing against New Zealand.
