Arakchi: "They brought Trump into the game, provoked him to an unjust attack"

"It should be said to the US President: Do not aggress against any other country."

Demokrat.az reports that this was said by Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi:

"We are protecting ourselves and have all legal rights for defense. This is just a self-defense operation. It should be said to the US President: 'Do not aggress against any other country.' No one can tell us 'you do not have the right to protect yourself.' We are protecting ourselves, doing what is necessary, and we place no limits on defending our people."

The minister commented on the damage the strikes caused to infrastructure as follows:

"Undoubtedly, we lost some commanders, that is a fact, and their names have already been announced. Another fact is that our military capability has not lost anything."

He compared the speed of the Iranian army's response to the 12-day war with Israel in 2025, saying:

"The army is in place and capable enough to defend our country. Compared to the 12-day war, they are more prepared both in quality and in scale."

He also responded to the option of reaching an agreement through negotiations with the US:

"In the last 12 months, we held talks with the US twice, and in both cases, they attacked us in the middle of the talks. This was a very painful experience for us. Those opposed to peace, diplomacy, and negotiations decided to disrupt it when diplomacy was going well and created provocations against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the media. Numerous accusations and disinformation were spread against us. As a result, they achieved what they wanted. They brought Trump into the game and pushed him to an unprovoked, unjust attack."
