Iran set a condition for the negotiations: “If there is a collision, we will deliver heavy blows”

US President Donald Trump has extended the ceasefire regime with Iran indefinitely.

Medianews.az reports that Washington presents this as a step to buy time for negotiations, but Tehran evaluates the decision as a possible preparation for an attack.

The US side states that the ceasefire will continue until the negotiations are completed. It is also emphasized that restrictions around the Strait of Hormuz will be maintained and the military will remain on alert.

Iranian officials sharply criticize this step, considering the continuation of the blockade as a "war move." Official Tehran claims that the US has lost the war and cannot dictate conditions.

Iran's ambassador to the United Nations has disclosed the main condition for returning to negotiations: the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz must be lifted. Tehran states it will not return to the negotiating table unless this demand is met.

At the same time, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned the US, declaring that if clashes resume, harsher strikes will be delivered to predetermined targets. A message has also been sent to the Gulf countries, indicating that if US bases on their territories are used, oil facilities will be targeted.

Mutual harsh statements increase the risk of rising tensions again in the region.
