The Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli of ANAS has commented on the footage circulating related to ANAS president Isa Habibbeyli.
According to Medianews.az, the Institute stated that the information circulating in the mass media and social networks about ANAS president Isa Habibbeyli's attitude towards the manuscript of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi does not reflect reality.
"Since both the binding and every page of Nizami Ganjavi's manuscript preserved at the Institute of Manuscripts named after M. Fuzuli of ANAS are protected with special protective cellophanes, it is not possible to touch the original text on these pages. It should also be noted that the electronic version of the original copy of this manuscript is kept in the institute's collection.
We regret to note that because the meeting held at the Institute of Manuscripts was limited in time, a certain hastiness occurred in finding and showing the miniature in the manuscript.
At the end of the manuscript presentation, Isa Habibbeyli, after expressing his highest respect towards Nizami Ganjavi's personality, manuscript, and works with a special ritual, presented it to the foreign guests," the institution stated.
