As the days until Eid al-Adha approach, preparations for the sale of sacrificial animals in the capital and regions have accelerated. The areas where the sale and slaughter points of sacrificial meat will operate have already been announced.
According to Medianews.az citing Oxu.az, currently in the areas of Binə and Şüvəlan settlements, the live weight price per kilogram for sheep and lamb is offered at 11 manat, and in slaughtered form at 22 manat. The live weight price per kilogram of veal is 9 manat, and in slaughtered form, it is 18 manat.
Prices are relatively more reasonable in the regions.
For instance, in the areas of Şamaxı, Ağsu, İsmayıllı, Qobustan, Ağdaş, Göyçay, and Kürdəmir, the live weight price per kilogram for sheep and lamb is sold at 10 manat, and in slaughtered form at 20 manat. The live weight price per kilogram of veal is 8 manat 50 qepik, and in slaughtered form, it amounts to 17 manat.
