New details have emerged about the tragedy of 22-year-old Ilham Shirinov, who drowned in the Tovuz river.
Medianews.az reports that Ilham Shirinov, a resident of Aghdam district, lived in the Mammadli settlement of Absheron district and studied at the local secondary school.
He had gotten engaged to a classmate just two months ago, and their wedding was planned to take place soon.
It should be noted that the incident occurred in the section of the Tovuz river passing through the village of Dondar Gushchu.
According to the information, Ilham Shirinov had gone from Baku to visit his relatives living in the village of Dondar Gushchu in Tovuz.
Due to the heavy rains in recent days, the water level and flow rate of the Tovuz river increased significantly.
