Unexpectedly dangerous painkillers RESULTS

Uncontrolled use of painkillers poses a hidden threat to health.

Medianews.az, referring to oxu.az, reports that Russian gastroenterologist Tatyana Golovchanskaya spoke about this in an interview with the publication "Gazeta.ru".

The doctor noted that long-term self-medication with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can lead to serious diseases such as stomach ulcers. This condition is observed in people who regularly take painkillers (mainly ibuprofen) for migraines, toothaches, or chronic pain.

"At first glance, there is nothing alarming here: you take a pill and the pain subsides. However, gradually the drug intake can turn into a habit, and a person begins to regularly 'support' themselves with painkillers," Tatyana Golovchanskaya stated.

Over time, the body reacts to this load and the consequences can worsen from stomach ulcers to gastrointestinal bleeding. The problem is not with the medication itself, but with improper use.

"Each medication has indications and contraindications, as well as a strict dosing regimen that must be followed. It is also important to remember that contrary to widespread belief, ibuprofen and paracetamol are not as harmless," emphasized the gastroenterologist.

According to her, when taken uncontrollably, these drugs can have a toxic effect on the liver. Therefore, it is necessary to approach the use of painkillers responsibly, paying attention to the type, dose, and frequency of the medication taken.
