Experts state that products with high water content both hydrate the body and provide additional vitamins and minerals.

Medianews.az reports, referring to Foodinfo.az, that dietitian Jillian Kubala notes that foods like cucumber, watermelon, and strawberry are among the best choices to quickly relieve thirst. According to her, since these products contain 85-95 percent water, they both meet fluid needs and lightly nourish the body. Especially, watermelon is considered a natural "hydration source" on hot days.

The expert adds that fruits and vegetables like orange, peach, and tomato, besides being rich in water, help to maintain electrolyte balance. Furthermore, dairy products like yogurt and kefir are also useful in reducing dehydration because they contain both fluid and beneficial bacteria. Experts recommend including these foods in the daily diet since they maintain water balance and support overall health.
