A shooting incident occurred during a live broadcast from the market area in Santiago, the capital of Chile.
Medianews.az reports that the detained woman seized the guard's gun during the ensuing chaos and opened fire around.
The incident occurred at the Lo Valledor wholesale market. While a reporter from a local television channel was reporting on the security measures applied in the area, the woman who was detained by the police resisted.
During the disorder, she managed to take the weapon from the guard standing behind her.
The woman then fired several shots in succession. As a result, a television cameraman and a guard filming the scene were injured in their legs. The injured were transported to the hospital by the emergency medical team called to the scene.
Police officers at the scene quickly neutralized the woman and took her back into custody.
The incident during the live broadcast sparked serious discussions in Chile regarding detention procedures, as well as the use of weapons and security rules by security personnel.
