A video from the period when Ali Larijani, the assassinated secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, was disqualified from running in the presidential elections has been released.

Iranian cleric Mohammad Motahhari stated in his post that the footage was taken one day before the 2020 presidential elections, when Larijani was going to his village. He noted that on that day he asked Larijani what message he wanted to convey.
According to Motahhari, Larijani did not respond to this question critically or harshly; instead, with humor, he said, "Planting trees is a very good thing!"
The post notes that after Larijani's disqualification, he tried to stay away from political disputes and devoted more time to academic and spiritual activities.
Motahhari emphasized that in recent years, Larijani has spent long periods thinking in the mountains and has dedicated considerable time to worship and fasting.//Bakivakti.az
