After the death of Sergey Ivanov, Russia's former defense minister and former head of the Presidential Administration, and a close friend of the head of state Putin, an investigation was published regarding property allegedly belonging to his family worth billions of rubles.
Medianews.az reports that the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) in Russia released an investigation about real estate worth approximately 4.2 billion rubles belonging to the late Sergey Ivanov's family. According to the investigation, the assets include a 2,700 square meter mansion located in Zhukovka village near Moscow's Rublyovka, valued at over 2 billion rubles; a luxury apartment of 926 square meters worth about 480 million rubles in the W Residences complex in Dubai; as well as several apartments in Moscow and a plot of land in the coastal zone of Kaliningrad region.
FBK states that Sergey Ivanov did not officially engage in business activities during his 26 years of public service. According to declarations, his annual official income amounted to 11–13 million rubles. The authors of the investigation believe that the total value of the real estate allegedly owned by the family far exceeds the former official's declared official income.
It should be noted that Sergey Ivanov passed away this week at the age of 73. He was considered one of the individuals who had close relations with the Kremlin leadership since the time he worked at the former USSR KGB. Ivanov served for many years as Russia's defense minister and head of the Presidential Administration, and at one time was considered one of the possible successors to the Kremlin leadership.//Musavat.com
