The cover of the May issue of "Screen International," one of the leading international publications in the field of cinema in Great Britain, is dedicated to Azerbaijan.
According to the report of Medianews.az referring to Oxu.az, the cover of the magazine provides information about the cash rebate mechanism, which is one of the results of reforms carried out in the field of film production in Azerbaijan.
Recall that according to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 4, 2025, 25 percent of the expenses incurred for the purchase of goods, works, and services for film production in the country is returned to the producer. In addition, if at least three of the criteria established for the promotion of our culture are met, an additional 15 percent of the expenses will be reimbursed to the producer. Thus, the production company can recover up to 40% of its expenses. Based on this, the magazine declares that Azerbaijan will become a favorite location for foreign film producers.
The May issue of the magazine is dedicated to the 79th Cannes Film Festival. Currently, Azerbaijan is represented at this festival with a national stand.
It should also be noted that the "Screen International" magazine, founded in 1889, has been published under its current name since 1975.
